Vice-Chancellor's Welcome

Vice-Chancellor’s message

I have the pleasure to welcome the visitors of University of Garden City (UGC) Website. University of Garden City was established 2003 as a university college, then upgraded to a university in 2015. The university offered B.Sc. (Hounors) in different fields, including Architecture, Electronics, and Computer and Information Technology, and Communications.

The university attempts to provide the best learning environment in order to achieve its goals and objectives. As such, we need to continue to develop in terms of new scientific programs; the university has already started to establish faculties in medical sciences (Medicine, Medical Laboratory and Nursing) in order to reach cover wide range of specialists..

The university prepares students by developing skills through excellent teaching, continuous assessment, and learning process. There are on-going periodical revisions of internal regulations, policies and procedures which benefit the university community and our students. The university is looking forward to be a leading scientific institution in higher education in the Sudan.

As we celebrate the recent promotion of our institution to university status, new buildings are being constructed within our campus and more are planned for the next five years to accommodate expected growth. This investment serves to promote a campus climate conducive to enhancing the quality of life for students, faculty and staff.

Our existing academic programmes are regularly updated, with new programmes that address students as well as society’s needs.

Today, UGC graduates are sought after by both local and international employers, and occupy positions in telecommunication companies, IT offices in both private and public organisations, architecture firms, as well as higher education and financial institutions.

We can only give you a quick glimpse of all that the University of Garden City has to offer. After your online visit, we invite you to tour our campus and become better acquainted with our facilities, programmes and people. We look forward to sharing our excitement at being a part of this very special university.
